ACTIVITIES

Empowering Youth Workers for a Better Integration of Migrants and Refugees

Project Activities

Our project activities are centered on various aspects, including:

Needs Analysis: We conduct a thorough needs analysis to better equip youth workers in assisting young migrants and refugees. This involves comprehensive desktop research and survey work to collect data on the training needs of youth workers. Mentor Bildungswerk spearheads the analysis, utilizing their expertise in social inclusion and innovation. The results of the analysis are made publicly available on our project website and shared with relevant stakeholders.

Training Curriculum Development: The project endeavors to create a training curriculum for youth workers involved with young refugees or migrants. Based on needs analysis research and survey data, the curriculum is developed collaboratively by experts from MIGARTS and ANGEF. The effectiveness of the curriculum is assessed periodically, and improvements are made as required.

R3.Training Materials: We generate flexible, customizable training materials for youth workers supporting young migrants and refugees. The materials are refined based on feedback gathered during Local Testing Sessions and used in the Short Term Joint Staff Training Event.

Trainers Handbook: A comprehensive resource developed for training youth workers and volunteers working with migrants and refugees. The handbook, accessible and downloadable from the project website, provides practical tips, training resources, and effective techniques.

Survival Kit for Refugees: The project endeavors to create a survival kit for refugees, filled with essential information about their rights and obligations in the host countries.

User Guide for NGOs: A project that aims at enhancing the European and international involvement of NGOs in supporting the adaptation of refugees. The guide supports NGOs involved in integrating young refugees into their host communities.

MULTIPLIER EVENTS

Multiplier events are essential for our project as they allow us to disseminate our findings and tools across different countries. Key institutions from each country, including MIGARTS (Turkey), ANGEF (Turkey), Mentor Bildungswerk (Germany), JUMPIN (Italy), and KEAN (Greece), coordinate the organization of national dissemination seminars. The aim of these seminars is to introduce the project, its activities, and results to a wide circle of project recipients.
As a grand finale, a conference will be held in Ankara, Turkey. The conference aims to disseminate the project’s Intellectual Outputs and discuss how cross-border dialogue and cooperation on the integration of migrants and refugees can be improved.
